Today’s user guide has been created to help you when you receive the vc80.pdb not found error message.
The one stop solution for all your Windows related problems
This is with Visual Studio 2005, C++.
I’ve been living with your own LNK4099 warnings about file ‘vc80.pdb’
not being found for some time and would like to try and get rid of it. There are _real_ errors and warnings in my
The situation is that I fixed the build libraries in other solutions, and then
in my main solution I link against those static .lib files. In static libraries, I install the program database (/Zi), but the .pdb files don’t seem to be generated, may not include options to generate .pdb files.). However, my main secret is that I get warnings about ignoring .pdb files when linking them to .lib
K By the way, when I build the sound libraries from the projects
in the same response and link this type (in one build step), I don’t get these warnings.
So, is there a course that generates PDFs for our static libraries?
Should I change my sound libraries to use the C7 (/Z7) debug layout, and if so, what about the inactive libraries? Get an idea somewhere else Can’t recompile? i More ideas?

After some additional research, I found that .pdb files _are_
created for inference libraries, but no longer moved
output with the directory of each of our .lib files (and no option
rename). The situation is really like this: construction – static allocation (call
es static.lib) generates a lot of .obj files that are temporary
The directory is as secure as vc80.pdb. Then static.lib is compiled to
The output directory and vc80.pdb file will not be copied. A for dynamic
library, dynamic.lib and dynamic.dll are actually assembled in the output
directory and, if necessary, the main vc80.pdb file is copied to a temporary directory
(and renamed) to the exact output directory.
How boring! I think I can set up a post-build event to manually print and
rename the .pdb files for some reasoncal libraries? Arg.
